Welcome to the Ryedale Festival. Every year, we welcome outstanding performers from all over the world to perform a wide-ranging and distinctive programme in the many spectacular venues in and around Ryedale, North Yorkshire – an area full of history and natural beauty.
The festival returns in Spring 2025 with a series of four concerts over two March weekends.
On 21 and 22 March, a Made in Ryedale weekend celebrates some of the region’s amateur choirs and ensembles, with concerts in Malton’s Wesley Centre and Lastingham.
On 28 March, the Summer Festival programme will be announced in a Season Launch Concert given by the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment at the St Church of St Peter’s, Norton. Their brilliant programme includes music you are unlikely to have heard before – by Johann Bernhard Bach, the little-known 2nd cousin of J.S. Bach, as well as Vivaldi’s masterpiece The Four Seasons. And on 29 March, the OAE will repeat the same programme for an afternoon performance in the beautiful surroundings of the Church of St Martin’s-on-the-Hill in Scarborough.
The Summer Festival will take place between 11 – 27 July 2025 and the full programme will be announced on 28 March. We also look forward to a Winter Weekend of concerts between 21-23 November 2025.
